Propagation studies in the CCIR: application for broadcasting and mobile services

Section D of the CCIR `Green Book´ Volume V contains all the Recommendations and Reports concerning propagation in the non-ionised media relating to terrestrial broadcasting and mobile services. One of the fundamental differences between broadcasting and mobile services compared with the most other forms of radiocommunications is that they are basically for point-to-area rather than point-to-point application and consequently there has to be a far greater reliance on a statistical approach to the presentation of relevant propagation data. The author discusses CCIR Recommendations and Reports in this field
