Factors affecting system design: field strengths at frequencies above 1.6 MHz

The title of the presentation is a composite of two of the areas within CCIR Study Group 6 in which BBC World Service has an active interest. The paper provides a brief overview of the principle areas associated with Propagation which affect HF Broadcasting. Other propagational aspects not of immediate interest to HF Broadcasting are covered within the Study Group texts and are regularly reviewed and updated when appropriate
