Abstract :
All-fiber lasers permit the development of efficient, robust and compact coherent light sources. We propose to use an acousto-optically modulated fiber Bragg grating (AOM-FBG) for active mode-locking of an all-fiber laser formed by a short section of erbium-doped fiber, a delay line, the modulator itself and a second stationary FBG that defines the output coupler of the laser cavity.
