Abstract
So far, there are many conclusions about the formation conditions of collapses but most are qualitative analysis. This paper, combined with the actual situation of the study area and using the canonical correlation analysis method based on fuzzy diagnosis method, analyzed the data of Himalayan region collapse disasters. We found that collapses are closely related to human activities, mainly distributed in the transport path along the river. In addition, collapse points have generally steep free surface, lots of surface joints and easily weathered rock strata, which create the conditions of collapses. But the precipitation does not affect collapses significantly.
