Abstract
A novel three-phase inverter system to synthesize three-phase sine wave currents with a combination of two units, using two phase-shifted single-phase resonant inverters is proposed. The system has the advantages of both zero current switching and a high-frequency AC link. The relationship between the total harmonic distortion of the output currents and the maximum harmonic order contained in the input current of the output stage low-frequency inverter is analyzed. The simulated and experimental results showed that the proposed system gives high quality output current waveforms
