Abstract :
The design guidelines and tradeoffs of 5-V output offline full-bridge (FB) zero-voltage-switched (ZVS) pulsewidth-modulated (PWM) power converters are presented. Various design tradeoffs, such as the ZVS range, the leakage inductance and the switching frequency, are discussed. A 5 V, 325 W ZVS-FB-PWM power converter was built following the design procedures. The hardware implementation and the experimental results are presented
