  • Abstract
During the process of mining in Antaibao Surface Mine, it is a key technical problem to scientifically and rationally determine the roof safe thickness of the mined-out areas. Based on Reissner theory, the conceptual model of roof of the mined-out areas in Antaibao Surface Mine was proposed considering construction dynamic loading. Then the analytical solutions for the deflection and bending moment were derived under the concentrated harmonic loading. The design formula of the roof safe thickness was derived by taking the tensile strength criterion as the constrain condition, and it was verified by practical engineering. The computing method of roof safe thickness could be the references and guidance to the similar engineering practice.
