Abstract :
The concept of an Nth-order quasi-square-wave switching cell (QSWSC) is introduced. The synthesis technique with switching cells for synthesizing quasi-resonant converter (QRC) topologies is reviewed and extended to synthesize high order quasi-square-wave converters (QSWCs). A fourth-order zero-voltage-switching (ZVS)-QSWSC is used as an example to demonstrate how to get its corresponding fourth-order ZVS-QSWC topologies
