Abstract
The aim of the work described is to predict the over-voltage induced by a lightning protection system in the low-voltage DC supply circuits of a telecommunications tower. These effects were evaluated by means of a calculation code able to simulate the electromagnetic behavior of a lightning protection system even in the presence of nonlinear phenomena, i.e., lateral discharges along the conductors. The victim circuit has been simulated by means of equivalent lumped electrical parameters representing the supply power, the connections and the input impedance of each device
