Abstract :
In order to put an end to rampancy rob oil, reduce losses and protect normal work of oil management department, it is necessary to detect the occurrence of leak immediately and locate the exact leak position. For negative pressure cause by leak will transmit in pipeline and make the pressure drop at once, the collection pressure signal is calculated by wavelet algorithm and the different time negative pressure transmit between first inspection point and last inspection point can be calculated based on the theory of wavelet algorithm´s model max value always corresponding the signal´s oddity point. The experiment data was used to take as example at the software MATLAB6.1. In the course of calculation, Haar wavelet was selected as base wavelet and level was 6. The result indicates the different time can be calculated by this way. It is make a base for the accurate leak detection and find leak point precisely
