Abstract :
Mobile radio services will operate to proprietary standards, ultimately migrating to a common air interface standard, but since most installations will support several base transceivers, the requirement for RF combining is already urgent. Application of a combiner in the CT2 system thus raises points of functional interest. The specification for this component points towards a linear passive device, small and of low cost. Of the several constraints on the linearity specification, two way operation of the system using digital modulation sets the most significant demands. Meeting the overall requirements for this product is discussed
