Abstract :
The Fourier transform is used to calculate the external magnetic field of a slotted waveguide. When this method is used to calculate the Hz-component induced by a z-directed pulse magnetic current, the inverse Fourier transform is divergent if the field point has the same transverse coordinate with the current point. This is discussed in detail and a new method to solve the problem is presented. The inclined slot in the narrow wall of a rectangular waveguide is analyzed. Computed result is compared with previously published experimental result. A good agreement is obtained.
