Abstract
An input device was proposed for human-computer interaction (HCI) by adding motion/position information to object in virtual environment. It can be used as a teaching and programming device by human demonstration through acquiring the human hand haptic information and manipulate virtual object in computer. The design and use of the device was described. The human compliant motion and its perception model were discussed in details. In the end some possible applications of the motion/force input device was introduced.
