  • Abstract
Multi-touch technique has gone deeply into the daily life of human beings due to the fast progress of high technique. This paper states the design and implementation of a smart multi-touch table. Considering the hardware construction, we use ultra short throw projector, IR (infrared) LED, IR camera and projection screen which are self-made. Rear projection is established with DI (Diffused Illumination) technique. Considering the software design, image processing skills are exploited to acquire the finger locations. To determine the finger positions, the hand recognition algorithm consists of single-finger, double-finger and multi-finger methods. There are 33 fingering patterns classified into 10 categories.
