Abstract :
A sophisticated, high performance, pulsed, dual receive channel millimetric transceiver suitable for airborne use, and ultimately for miniaturisation and low cost production is described. The primary characteristics of this experimental radar are presented. The authors describe the design of some of its constituent components such as the synthesizer, transmit oscillators, transmit modulator, local oscillator down converter and calibrator, and the resulting system performance
