Abstract
A new form of second-order fully nonlinear Boussinesq wave equations is established by introducing four parameters, with linear dispersion, shoaling and nonlinearity properties improvement and without having its mathematical form changed, and the new equations are fit for deeper water and can give good results of wave transformation from deep to shallow water, and a numerical model is established to show the effectiveness of the new equations when wave translates over an elliptic shoal.
