Abstract
This paper describes the first and second phases of the research programme undertaken by the UK MOD (PE), with funding assistance from industry, to define the `safe´ limits for backdriving or node-forcing. The output from this work is to be released as an Interim UK Defence Standard, to guide Contractors and ATE Vendors, planned for mid-1990
