Abstract
A method is described for utilizing an HP network analyzer for the measurement of the frequency response of the indoor RF propagation channel and the 945 MHz CW envelope and phase. Measurements of the frequency response of the channel in the frequency bands 900-1000 MHz and 1.6-1.8 GHz as well as 945 MHz CW measurements are reported. These measurements determine the dependence of the RMS excess delay time on the separation between the transmitting and receiving antennas, the propagation power law and the effect of antenna jitter on the received power level
