Abstract
This paper uses the method of data envelopment analysis (DEA) to study the safety production situation of construction engineering. It takes 13 cities´ constructional engineering safety production in Jiangsu province as the decision making units (DMU), and three aspects of technical efficiency, pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency as the research angle. The results show that there are nine cities, about 69% of the total sample, have failed to effectively use resources that have invested. The average comprehensive technical efficiency is 0.853, safety efficiency levels remain to be improved and enhanced. This paper also tries to adjust the safety investment of non-DEA effective decision making units through projection analysis to DEA efficiency, which aims to provide a good reference for decision makers.
