Abstract :
This paper presents a comparative study concerning the application of compact linear and circular antenna arrays associated with the maximal ratio combiner (MRC). Uniform and Gaussian distributions are considered for the arrival angles of the signal that reaches the antenna elements. The variations of the transmitted signal intensity are modeled by a Nakagami-m probability distribution.
