Abstract :
In the construction of expressways in mountain areas, landslides often cause by cut-slope excavation. It leads to landslide treatment during the expressway construction. It is not only delay the project but also waste a lot of money. This paper takes the Ermi landslide as an example, analyzed the landslide from the aspects of the structural characteristics, the stability analysis and the treatments. The results show that the shear strength of the sliding surface and sliding body is low. As cut-slope excavating, the resistant of the slope body reduced Eventually the slope lost its stability and a landslide formed. In the stability analysis of the slope, the shear strength parameters of the sliding surface was determined by anti-analysis of one profile. Analyzing the stability of the three sliding surfaces respectively, the stability factors are 0.982-1.091 and less than the required 1.20 for this project. Therefore, proper treatments like reducing slope weight or resisting-piles are necessary. Study shows that the cost of reducing weight is 45% lower than resisting-piles. Hence, it is recommended that use the weight reducing method to control the Ermi landslide. This can be economic while meeting the safety requirement.
