Abstract :
Horizontal brightness projection is used to extract the welding region image, which is then processed by median Altering to get background intensity of each pixel. Based on the characteristics of the human brightness vision, an approximate subsection function of just noticeable difference (JND) is set up. According to the function, welding region image is enhanced adaptively. By the approach presented, details of the image processed are distinct and abundant. It will be in favor of latter processing and analysis of welding image.
