Abstract
The peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) problem of OFDM systems can be efficiently resolved using partial transmit sequences (PTS) method, for which data recovery requires side information (SI) about the phase rotation factors used at transmitter. Regarding the PTS method, two low-complexity schemes are proposed for protecting the SI via error correction coding. OFDM modulation of the coded SI and that of data are performed separately, giving the benefit of considerably reduced complexity. Simulation results demonstrate the good performance of the proposed schemes at the expense of requiring a little additional subcarriers for SI protection.
