Abstract
Electrocoagulation was used to treat landfill leachate effluent from biochemical process. The influence factors including polar plate material, pH, polar plate space, current intensity and electro coagulation time were investigated. The optimum condition was using iron as polar plate, polar plate space 20mm, pH 7-9, current intensity 3A, electrocoagulation time 30min. At this condition, CODcr removal rate was 73.9%, ammonia removal rate 64.3% and BOD5 removal rate was 49.2%.
