  • Abstract
Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) are characterized by an intensive interaction between its electromechanical devices and the embedded computer system. In most of these systems the battery autonomy is crucial, since power failure scan render the system inoperable. Therefore CPS designers must take good-care regarding its energy consumption. This paper presents a framework to monitor the energy consumption in CPS in order to estimate its autonomy. The developed approach is based on the characterization of the embedded software operating modes, which represent the operational states of the system. To illustrate the proposed framework we carried out a case-study applied to mobile robotics.
