Abstract :
In order to target information with some degree of efficiency, education is typically performed at a number of levels. Thus education in space technology is aimed at the following target groups: engineers and scientists in industry (and elsewhere), students at universities and polytechnics, students at schools and colleges, and the general public. The author discusses education in each of these target groups. The author stresses the importance of introducing space education programs to children at school and briefly discusses the difficulties of educating the general public. The author suggests that to `spread the word´ and improve the prospects for UK space education, members of the public from primary school to parliament should be informed and inspired about space technology
