Abstract
The slewing rings enterprises in China have relatively stable product categories at present, and their daily process design mode is the modified design based on the base type products, so they urgently need an efficient and practical slewing rings CAPP system. Based on function requirements analysis, this paper developed a practical retrieval slewing rings CAPP system with object-oriented method, and introduced its function framework. Some key technologies of software development were discussed, including universal process planning model, process parameters information retrieval method and UML activity diagram of CAPP system, etc. The slewing rings CAPP system has some features, such as convenient operation, reasonable process route and unified process chart, etc, which helps to reduce the labor intensity of designers, and improve the quality and efficiency of process design. It has been successfully applied in production practice, and has achieved good economic benefit.
