Abstract
As the trend for mega high-rise buildings continues, efficient scheduling of group elevator systems is becoming increasingly important. In this paper, we present a new elevator group control system. Its objectives are minimizing energy consumption as well as minimizing passengers´ waiting time. Since both objectives sometimes conflict, we try to reduce energy consumption within tolerable average waiting time. Experimental results show that the proposed system decreases energy consumption significantly and also guarantees the threshold of average waiting time.
