The d-1 format in production and post-production

There are numerous superlatives applicable to the D-1 format DVTR and amongst them are that it is probably the most written about format and it often seems to be the most misunderstood format of today. The author, by adding to the amount of D-1 literature, tries to explain how D-1 format DVTRs fit into the TV worlds of today and tomorrow. A little history is given and some of the essential elements of the format are reviewed
