Abstract
A high frequency DC link grid-connected power conversion system with active clamp circuit is designed and analyzed in this paper. An improved active clamp control is proposed. The voltage spike of the secondary diodes can be clamped to permit the use of low voltage stress diodes and achieve optimum efficiency feature, especially light-load efficiency. This system can be applied for regenerative electronic load or renewable energy power supply. Detailed theoretical analyses are presented. Finally, some experimental results based on a 1kW laboratory prototype are presented.
