Abstract :
By taking an integrated approach to the various aspects of cybernetics, including physical and chemical instrumentation and measurement, control applied to industrial processes; problems of automation and production, and electronic design and development can be dealt with. In these respects electronic systems, manufacturing processes and IT are disciplines incorporated within the overall field of cybernetics. An indication is given in the paper as to ways in which cybernetics can be made use of in industry, particularly where the development, design and even construction of computer systems is involved. Other areas of interest include computer graphic systems, robotics, pattern recognition and sensory feedback; the key element being their position within an overall system arrangement
