Abstract :
Thermionic emission cathodes are widely used in microwave tubes. In this paper, we study theoretically about the quantum correction factor for thermionic emission. The calculated quantum correction factor nearly ranges from 0.2 to 0.5 depending on the work function and the operating temperature of cathode materials.
