  • Abstract
A well-known problem with convergence that detracts from the theory for the thin-wire circular-loop antenna is eliminated by using a more realistic model for the excitation, one that corresponds more closely to an actual method of excitation for the loop than does the delta-function. The input admittances of several half-loop antennas were measured as a function of the frequency. Measured results are compared with theory, and the agreement is found to be excellent.<>
