  • Abstract
Overhead lines, by their manner of construction, are exposed to the forces of nature which may cause them to fail. These external influences include temperature variations, mechanical forces, overvoltages, corrosion and pollution. The author looks at these external influences and puts forward solutions which may make the networks more reliable
