Abstract
The authors describe the development of HDMAC which is carried out by a consortium of European companies under the EUREKA 95 project. There are twelve project groups covering every aspect of the system from the camera to the domestic receiver. Among the topics covered are: bandwidth reduction encoding, HDMAC vision signal video characteristics, transmission path Nyquist channel, HDMAC noise performance and HDMAC modulation parameters
