Abstract :
The author describes the evolution of HD-MAC transmissions which are received by top-of-the-range TV sets with ND-MAC (normal definition-multiplexed analogue component) features. Among the topics discussed are: compatibility between present and future ND-MAC and HD-MAC services, HD-MAC receiver-decoders and HD-MAC receiver systems for the HDTV coverage of 1992 Olympic Winter Games
