Abstract :
The linogram data acquisition method and image reconstruction method considering the diffraction effect of sound waves were previously suggested. This imaging method gives accurate images because no interpolation operation is performed in the image reconstruction and no theoretical errors are caused. An image was obtained by computer simulation to check the validity of the method. For the reconstructed image, it was proved that an accurate image is obtained in the real part. Also, the relationship between the value of the real part of the reconstructed image and the compression rate (speed) distribution was examined. It was proved that the speed distribution of an object can be estimated from the image intensity when it is not largely different from that of the surrounding medium
