Abstract
Predictive reliability assessment is growing in importance as a tool for distribution system planning and operation. The paper discusses some of the aspects involved in the development of a predictive reliability assessment tool. Results of an analysis done on an actual distribution system are presented. The difference in indices computed using the historical and predictive methods is illustrated.
