Abstract :
Three dimensional computer graphics become increasingly popular in a wide spectrum of applications ranging from scientific visualization over games to virtual environments and the Internet. As applications that use 3D animation and the hardware to support 3D become widely available and standards like VRML 2.0 emerge, the need to methodically populate these virtual worlds with animated 3D objects turns into a problem of growing dimensions. The paper presents an approach to the rapid prototyping of animated 3D objects that is centered on a structured design method and a system of layered libraries following the ideas of iterative prototyping based on an agent oriented design view
