Abstract
A comparison is made of several bandwidth sampling methods, including the recently proposed multi-order sampling method, in terms of envelope detection capability of RF signals, using experimental data. The quadrature sampling and second-order sampling methods among them are chosen, and the performance comparison results of the three methods are presented. The resultant image of second-order sampling method introduced too much error that manifested itself as annoying brightness fluctuations resembling ripples as compared with that of quadrature sampling method. On the contrary, the multi-order sampling method, especially fifth-order sampling method showed a very good envelope detection performance
