  • Abstract
It is shown how the two-dimensional arrival angle and the polarization of an incoming CW (continuous-wave) signal can be estimated simultaneously from the received signals on a simple array. The array considered consists of eight dipoles lying in the xy-plane with their axes pointing radially out from the origin of an xyz-coordinate system. Each dipole is assumed to be a short dipole whose output voltage is proportional to the electric field along the dipole.<>
