Abstract
The use of super-resolution to improve the performance of high gain monopulse antennas under main-beam interference and multipath conditions is evaluated. The geometrical theory underlying Schmidt´s MUSIC algorithm is extended to multibeam signal processing antennas with directive beam patterns in azimuth and elevation. A new super-resolution algorithm is derived which is effective against both coherent and noncoherent signals. A conceptual design is described, and its detection and angle estimation performance for multiple signals incident in the mainbeam is presented.<>
