Abstract :
In this paper, transmission characteristics of waveguide with double ridge on the short narrowside are Comprehensively studied using finite element method because reported literatures abotut this waveguide are lack at present. The data and curves of cutoff wavelength, single mode bandwidth, characteristic impedance, attenuation constant, power handling capability of waveguide with double ridge on the short narrowside are obtained. The data show that waveguide with double ridge on the short narrowside has small cut-off wavelength, single mode bandwidth and attenuation constant as well as great characteristic impedance and power handling capability. Therefore, it can be used for narrow bandwidth filters and transmission systems. The conclusions will be carried out waveguide with double ridge on the short narrowside to provide reference data and design parameters for the engineering application.
