            Abstract : 
In this paper, we propose some simple capacity estimations for WiMAX/ IEEE 802.16 system. The OFDM physical layer of 802.16 is considered. We compare between the now-classical data rates values based on OFDM considerations and data rates obtained in simulation taking into account inter-cell interference. Figures are given for various scenarios of frequency reuse (1times1 and 1times3) and services (real-time and FTP) allowing interesting observations about WiMAX radio efficiency. These results can be used as an order of magnitude of more realistic WiMAX performance results
