Merseyside power station (MPS) was built in 1957 to supply steam and power to Unilever and third party companies in the Port Sunlight and Bromborough areas. There are four maintenance areas: the engine generator; the water treatment plant; the boiler control and instrumentation systems; and the HV system. Preventive maintenance is also discussed
