Abstract :
This paper presents the methods to control and stabilize the frequency of the gyrotron. 1) The gyrotron frequency is controlled by changing the gun voltage. 2) It can also be stabilized by means of an external high-Q two-mirror cavity providing a partial wave reflection to the gyrotron, the cavity being coupled to the wave beam by a mirror corrugation.
