Abstract :
Electrical aging brought by partial discharge (PD) becomes the primary aging form while under DC condition. However, PD under DC condition is not well understood yet. Therefore, there is an increasing interest on investigation on characteristic of PD under DC condition. In this paper PD under DC condition is obtained in some typical PD defect models. Then, PD characteristics, such as fundamental parameter and statistical parameter under DC condition are compared with that under AC voltage application. In the end, the differences are explained according to theory of PD and change of dielectric insulation property under different source conditions. And then PD in high voltage storage capacitor under DC voltage application could be well analyzed.
