Abstract :
The capability of a scalar network analyser with diode detectors has been extended by the addition of some waveguide hardware to provide vector measurements over the frequency range 26.5 to 40 GHz. Two methods are described to compensate for the non-linear response of the diode detectors and a comparison of measurements with a thermistor-based multistate reflectometer shows that comparable measurements can be obtained.<>
