To accomplish this, the ocean mining community should have a central focal point to which its members can address their technology needs and expect to get an authoritative response. It is further necessary that the industry be kept apprised of available technologies which have potential application to ocean mining. These functions can best be accomplished through the use of an ocean mining oriented technology broker to bring the users with the needs together with the technology producers on a person-to-person basis.
