Abstract :
Until electric power that is occurred in power plant reaches by consumer, must flow many transformers, power loss department of transformer is huge quantities. Thus, most of loss of transformer happens by material of an iron cores that made of Silicon Steel. The reduction of the core loss is a key of issue to it increase energy efficiency. So, we used the domain refinement method to decrease of the core loss. The Domain refinement is one of the methods to decrease the core loss that is to reduce the width of magnetic domain wall spacing by scratching steel surface with a mechanically sharp tool, laser, or electron beam. As a result, the core loss of the sheets was measured before and after electron irradiation by a single-strip core loss tester. It is found that maximum 3% of core loss was reduced by the electron irradiation.
